    California Consumer Privacy Act

    The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA or the Act), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides consumers with certain privacy rights regarding their personal information. Businesses covered by the CCPA also have certain obligations with respect to the personal information collected about consumers. Notably, the CCPA's provisions also encompass employment-related personal information collected about job applicants, employees, and independent contractors.

    The CPRA established the California Privacy Protection Agency  (https://cppa.ca.gov/)(CPPA or the Agency) to implement and enforce the CCPA and its regulations.
