UCC Financing Statements, Fixture Filings, and Amendments (AZ)

Summary

This practice note discusses the procedures for preparing and filing a Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) financing statement, fixture filing, and amendment in accordance with Article 9 of the UCC currently in effect in the state of Arizona. See Ariz. Rev. Stat. § 47-9101 et seq. Article 9 provides creditors, including mortgage lenders, with a mechanism to easily perfect their security interests in most types of personal property, including fixtures, by filing a UCC-1 financing statement.
