Summary

This video highlights key guidance by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a bureau of the U.S. Department of Treasury, to help financial institutions enhance efforts to identify, monitor, and report instances of transnational criminal organization activity, in order to safeguard the U.S. economic and financial systems. FinCEN deems transnational criminal organizational activity a priority, in light of the increasing threat and intelligence used to disrupt the U.S. financial systems and the various ways in which this criminal activity manifests itself. FinCEN anti-money laundering (AML) red flags guidance, highlights the illicit activity in an attempt to make it more difficult for organized criminal groups to launder money through U.S. financial institutions.
