Summary
This practice note discusses key provisions of the Loan Estimate (LE) disclosure form used in residential loan transactions that are subject to the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure rule, also known as TRID or the "Know Before You Owe" rule, 12 C.F.R. Parts 1024 and 1026. It also explains changes made to TRID by the 2017 Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Final Rule that affect the LE as well as later amendments to the Rule and related guidance.
