Solicitation Package (Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy Glossary)

In the context of a chapter 11 plan, the documents provided to creditors and shareholders in connection with voting in support or in opposition to the plan. A typical plan solicitation package includes the plan, disclosure statement, order approving the disclosure statement, notice of the confirmation hearing, ballot and voting instructions and a letter explaining the solicitation process and urging the voting classes to accept the plan.
