HOLDINGS: [1]-A bail bond surety can escape liability under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 58-71-20 for failing to return the bond premium within 72 hours of the surrender where defendant was surrendered by the surety because of an alleged breach of the conditions of defendant's pre-trial release but the trial court subsequently determines that the suspected breach, did not, in fact, constitute a breach after all; [2]-The trial court's orders disqualifying plaintiffs' expert and striking the expert's affidavit was affirmed because an expert may not testify that a particular legal conclusion or standard had or had not been met.
