Services Agreement –Change Order Request Procedure Clause

Summary

This change order clause can be used by parties to a services agreement to set forth the procedures to be followed in the event a party wants to request and implement a change order. This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. A change order permits the parties to a services agreement to incorporate or acknowledge a change in their contractual obligations without the necessity of requiring a new agreement. Provisions providing for such procedures are useful in creating a clear operating standard among the parties for requesting contract changes and approvals, and for effectuating those changes by ensuring all parties and departments are timely notified and involved in the process. The procedures may be simple or complex, depending upon the nature of the agreement and services at issue.
