Summary

This practice note provides both an overview of the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) oversight of digital assets and the regulatory and compliance issues around them. The SEC's approach to supervision, enforcement, and rulemaking in the space has escalated as the adoption of the technology approaches a critical mass.
