Rule 30(b)(6) Deposition Strategies for Employee-Plaintiffs in Employment Cases

This practice note discusses depositions in employment cases under Federal Rules of Civil Procedure 30(b)(6), which allows an employee to depose an employer that is a corporation, governmental agency, or other organization. It assumes that in the litigation at issue, an employee has sued an employer for a violation of employment law. The employer is the entity that the plaintiff seeks to depose.
