Summary
A pleading filed by a professional that requires court approval before the professional can represent its client in bankruptcy and get paid for doing so. Among other things, a retention application must indicate whether the professional holds or represents an interest adverse to the bankruptcy estate, whether the professional is a disinterested person as required by the Bankruptcy Code and the specific services the professional intends to provide to its client.
