This template contains remedies and limitation of remedies clauses that may be used in a commercial contract as a substitute to the broad default remedies provided by law. This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. If the parties to a contract intend to substitute a remedy for the broad default remedies provided by law, they need to clearly express in the contract that the substituted remedies are the parties' sole remedies.
