The scope of this tracker is omnibus privacy legislation governing the collection and use of consumer personal information by private entities. Bills that cover the collection of consumer personal information online or through commercial websites only are outside the scope of this tracker. Bills introduced and/or pending after Jan. 1, 2023, are included in the 2023 portion of the tracker. Bills that were introduced and/or pending in 2022 are included in the 2022 portion of the tracker. This tracker will not be updated after Jan. 1, 2024.
