Personal Jurisdiction Determination Checklist
Summary
This checklist will help you determine whether a court will assert personal jurisdiction over a defendant in an antitrust case, whether you should challenge personal jurisdiction if your client is a defendant in an antitrust case, and where you should bring an antitrust suit to satisfy personal jurisdiction when representing a plaintiff. The checklist sets out the questions you should ask to satisfy the personal jurisdiction requirements in all federal civil lawsuits, the questions you should ask if the circuit where the suit is or will be filed applies the "national contacts" test, and the questions you should ask if the lawsuit involves a forfeiture action under Section 6 of the Sherman Act.
