Summary

This template is a paid time off (PTO) policy for use by Connecticut employers. This policy grants employees paid time off from work for a variety of reasons in lieu of an individual vacation policy, sick leave policy, or personal leave policy. This template includes practical guidance, drafting notes, and alternate and optional clauses. This template is intended for private employers and may be included in an employee handbook or distributed as a standalone policy. Its language has been customized to comply with Connecticut and federal law. As a result, the text of this template differs from the non-jurisdictional Paid Time Off (PTO) Policy.
