Omnibus Hearing (Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy Glossary)

Summary

A hearing at which the court hears a variety of different matters in the same bankruptcy case. Bankruptcy Rule 3007(c)–(f) governs omnibus claims objections. The rule prohibits objections to one or more claims to be joined in a single objection unless the court orders otherwise or the claims to be joined are in the enumerated list of omnibus objections to proofs of claim. Bankruptcy Rule 6006(f) governs the contents of an omnibus motion to reject executory contracts and unexpired leases or an omnibus motion to assume or assign multiple executory contracts and unexpired leases that are not between the same parties and which have otherwise been authorized by the court.
