Objections and Responses to Requests for Admission
(AZ)
Summary
This template is a set of objections and responses to requests for admission (RFAs) you may use in an Arizona Superior Court civil case. It complies with Ariz. R. Civ. P. 36, and includes common objections and responses, which will have to be carefully tailored to your case. The template contains practical guidance and drafting notes. A request for admission may properly relate to anything within the scope of Ariz. R. Civ. P. 26(b), about facts, application of law to fact, or opinions about either, or the genuineness of documents. Ariz. R. Civ. P. 36(a)(1). Be aware, however, that Arizona limits the number of requests to 10 for cases in tiers 1 and 2, and 20 for cases in tier 3. Ariz. R. Civ. P. 26.2. If a party wishes to exceed these limitations, they must either obtain a stipulation from your adversary or seek relief from the court. Ariz. R. Civ. P. 26.2(g). For more information on RFAs, see Requests for Admission: Drafting, Serving, and Responding to RFAs (AZ). For form RFAs, see Requests for Admission (AZ).
