Objections and Responses to Interrogatories
(MA)
Summary
This template objections and responses to interrogatories is for your use in responding to interrogatories served by an adverse party in a Massachusetts state court civil case. You may use these objections as the complete answer to a set of interrogatories or in conjunction with your client’s answer. The template contains practical guidance, drafting notes, and alternate clauses. Interrogatories are written questions a party serves upon any other party to be answered by the party served. Interrogatories may, without leave of court, be served upon the plaintiff any time after commencement of the action and upon any other party with or after service of the summons and complaint upon that party. The responding party answers each interrogatory separately and fully in writing under the penalties of perjury. This template assumes the defendant is the responding party. If you represent the plaintiff, you should revise accordingly. For more information on responding to interrogatories, see Interrogatories: Drafting, Serving, and Responding to Interrogatories (MA).
