This practice note is a state law survey addressing storage, transport, treatment, and disposal of medical and infectious waste; refrigeration; compaction; and management plans for handling the waste. Highlighted issues include storage time and refrigeration requirements, prevention from waste becoming putrescent and/or allowing transmission of disease, compaction restrictions, and management plan requirements.
