Summary

This precedent is a medical legal report, which an expert retained by a party is required to provide when retained to provide an opinion. The report adheres to the recommended contents of an expert report by containing a statement of the expert's qualifications, the underlying facts and assumptions with respect to the plaintiff's background and injuries sustained in the accident and discussion of the plaintiff's physical and psychological condition. Finally, the report provides the expert's diagnoses, treatment recommendations and opinion with regard to the plaintiff's prognosis. With respect to the plaintiff who is the subject of this report, the important issues discussed include their pre-existing depression and other issues and the expert's diagnoses of pain disorder, major depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
