Summary

The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois adopted Local Patent Rules (or "patent rules," for short) on September 28, 2009. The patent rules were most recently amended on December 19, 2019 and apply to civil actions in the district that allege a claim of infringement, non-infringement, invalidity, or unenforceability of a utility patent.
