Litigation Hold Lift Notice
(Federal)

Summary

This template is a litigation hold lift notice that in-house or outside counsel may use in a federal case. It contains drafting notes. This notice may be used where a litigation hold was instituted in a company and the dispute, litigation, investigation, or audit that triggered the company's preservation duty is over, including the appellate process, if applicable. The notice informs management and employees subject to the litigation hold that the hold is no longer in effect and the company may resume its normal disposition of records and document and data retention policies and procedures.
