Johnnie's Poultry Warning
Summary
This template is a Johnnie's Poultry warning for use by an employer when questioning any nonsupervisory employee about any protected concerted activity, especially union-related activity, regardless of whether a union represents the employee. This template includes practical guidance, drafting notes, and an alternate clause. This template is intended for private employers. It is based on federal law and does not address all potential state law distinctions; thus, you should check any relevant state and local laws. At the start of the interview, before the employer asks any questions, the employer should provide a copy of a written Johnnie's Poultry warning to the employee. The employer should ask the employee to sign the notice and the employer should retain a copy of the signed notice in the employee's personnel file and in any file relating to the investigation. For more information on Johnnie's Poultry warnings, see Disciplining and Investigating Union Employees.
