This article focuses on some of the implications of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Org., 2022 U.S. LEXIS 3057 (2022) for physicians and associated medical professionals. The scope of potentially affected persons and entities extends beyond those who actively perform or assist in performing abortions. It also extends to physicians who treat individuals for emergencies related to pregnancy and to pregnancy termination in jurisdictions where legislatures have banned or severely limited abortion.
