Government Resources for Antitrust Practitioners

Summary

This practice note sets out Federal Trade Commission and Department of Justice Antitrust Division resources, other than statutes, court decisions and legal articles, that you can consult when providing antitrust advice on general antitrust issues related to government enforcement. When reviewing the speeches and articles by FTC and Antitrust Division officials, remember that government policies can change when administrations change, when new Commissioners or executive branch officials join, or even when a new director of the Bureau of Competition is appointed. Members of the agencies staff do not change at those times; so, their views remain significant and usually policy changes are announced.
