Focus Group Participation and Release Agreement


Summary

This focus group participation and release agreement can be used by a company on behalf of a client or sponsor when conducting focus groups or other market research activities. These types of activities include collecting and analyzing consumer reaction to products, services, and/or advertising campaigns. This template includes practical guidance, drafting notes, and optional clauses. The members of the focus group provide valuable feedback respecting the subject matter’s appeal and usefulness. Focus groups are generally comprised of a limited number of individuals who share certain characteristics. This document should be used in order to (1) protect the confidentiality of the subject matter in question and (2) obtain a release from liability from the participant (after providing the participant with sufficient information about what is being done, what information is being collected, and how it may be used).
