Summary

This practice note will discuss the important aspects of a Florida tort reform package signed by Gov. DeSantis in 2023, and guide claimant lawyers, defense counsel, and regulatory attorneys through the new law. It is also intended to assist other lawyers who, although not directly involved in tort litigation, represent clients with ancillary interests, such as owners and operators of rental property.
