FAST Act Effective Dates Chart

Summary

This checklist provides an overview of the effective dates of the Fixing America's Surface Transportation Act (FAST Act) (114 P.L. 94) provisions relating to the federal securities laws. Although the bulk of the FAST Act concerns transportation-related issues, Division G of that law amends the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act (JOBS Act) and other statutes in ways relevant to securities law practitioners. These amendments relate to Emerging Growth Companies (EGCs), Smaller Reporting Companies (SRCs), savings and loan companies, and certain exemptions from registration under the Securities Act of 1933 (Securities Act) for resales of securities. The FAST Act was signed into law on December 4, 2015.
