Extended Warranties Clause

Summary

This extended warranty clause template can be used to extend the duration of the original warranties (or even provide different, additional or supplemental warranties) with respect to transactions involving the sale of goods and/or services. This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. Extended warranties are typically originated at the time the original sales agreement is entered into, although they can also be issued post-sale where the intent is to provide additional warranty coverage to a buyer once the original warranty period expires. For a full listing of related supply of goods content, see Supply of Goods Resource Kit.
