Summary

This checklist discusses steps employers should take when defending against complaints of employment discrimination filed with the Atlanta Human Rights Commission (AHRC). Georgia does not have a state anti-discrimination statute, but Atlanta has its own anti-discrimination statute. The AHRC is the Atlanta city agency responsible for investigating employment discrimination complaints that employees file against their employers under the Atlanta Human Relations Code.
