Summary

This template is an employment application that gathers information from a job applicant to allow a Nevada based employer to determine the applicant's suitability for a position. This template includes practical guidance, drafting notes, and optional clauses. The NFEPA prohibits hiring discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, or national origin. Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.330(1)(a). Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.333(1)(a) forbids hiring discrimination based on a person's off-duty use of lawful products, such as tobacco. Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.345(1) prohibits an employer from considering a job applicant's genetic information in the hiring process. Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.135 makes it unlawful to require a job applicant to disclose a username, password, or any other information that provides access to their personal social media accounts. Employers are prohibited from seeking credit information about a job applicant unless the information is reasonably related to the position for which the applicant is being evaluated or the law requires a review of the applicant's credit information.
