Summary
This template may be used by private employers to submit an L-1B visa petition to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. Employers may also use this letter for Canadian citizens applying to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) for admission to the United States under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The L-1B visa allows a qualifying U.S. organization to employ a foreign national in the United States from a qualifying organization abroad as an intra-company transferee in a specialized knowledge capacity.
