Summary

This template may be used by private employers to submit an L-1A visa petition on behalf of a foreign national to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. An employer may also use this letter for a Canadian citizen applying to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (USCBP) for admission to the United States under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA). The L-1A visa allows a qualified U.S. employer to employ a foreign national in the United States from a qualified organization abroad as an intra-company transferee in either a managerial or executive capacity.
