Summary

This practice note discusses the Elliott Larsen Civil Rights Act (ELCRA), MCLS § 37.2101 et seq. This statute protects employees and applicants from discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. The Michigan Civil Rights Commission (MCRC) requires employers to post, in a conspicuous place, a poster called Michigan Law Prohibits Discrimination advising employees of their rights under the ELCRA and other civil rights laws. See Mich. Admin. Code R. 37.101.
