Summary

This template is a resignation letter intended for use by a director of a corporation to resign from his or her position. This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. Although it may be personalized further, in most instances a resigning director prefers to submit a generic form as it will be kept in the company's records. In addition to the text provided in this template, the resigning director may be required to acknowledge that he or she has no claims whatsoever against the corporation. Alternatively, such language can be rolled into a separately negotiated release.
