Defense Counsel's Client Case Update and Assessment
(Federal)

Summary

This is a case update and assessment which defense counsel may send to a client after being engaged in a federal matter. This template includes practical guidance, drafting notes, and alternate and optional clauses. At the outset of the case, the client will want you to provide them with basic facts about the case and your informed predication on how the case will unfold. While it is difficult to predict the future in any litigation, clients expect counsel to provide an assessment of the prospects for a favorable outcome and the client's potential financial exposure.
