Summary

This template is a declaration used to transfer household furniture, furnishings, tangible personal property, and other items that have no record of ownership to the revocable living trust. This template is for use in California. This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. Using this template will substantiate the intent of the settlor(s), confirm trust ownership on later sale, and may help eliminate the necessity of court supervised administration following the death of a settlor. The settlor may wish to attach lists and photographs of assets to this declaration. It is also advised that the settlor add the trustee as an additional insured on any policies insuring tangible personal property.
