This practice note discusses the Connecticut Fair Employment Practices Act (CFEPA), Conn. Gen. Stat. § 46a-51 et seq. This statute protects employees from discrimination and harassment on the basis of their membership in a protected class, and prohibits retaliation. Unpaid interns are also protected under the CFEPA.
