Colorado Anti-discrimination Act (CADA)


Summary

This practice note discusses the Colorado Anti-discrimination Act (CADA), C.R.S. 24-34-301 et seq. This statute protects employees from discrimination and harassment based on their membership in a protected class (which in some respects is broader than federal law), and prohibits retaliation. It also contains provisions prohibiting employers from taking action based on lawful activities outside of work, or based on seeking protection orders in cases of domestic violence.
