Bribery and Corruption Resource Kit

Summary

This resource kit provides various resources to assist counsel in understanding and complying with key anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws and regulations. In the United States, the ruling legislation is the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), which was introduced in 1977. The Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission emphasize enforcement of the FCPA and show no signs of slowing their pursuit of FCPA claims. In the United Kingdom, the UK Bribery Act came into effect in 2011 to tackle corruption in both the public and private sectors. Counsel should be familiar with these regulations as well as any potential implications of these regulations to its clients.
