Summary
This template Articles of Amendment (LA Corporation) may be adopted by a Louisiana corporation and filed with the Louisiana Secretary of State. This template may be used for the purpose of amending a domestic profit corporation's articles of incorporation. This template should not be used to restate articles. The content of the certificate of amendment are set forth in La. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 12:1-1006. Effective January 1, 2018, business owners in the following parishes are required to file all available business documents electronically through geauxbiz, Louisiana's online business filing system: Ascension, Bossier, Caddo, Calcasieu, East Baton Rouge, Jefferson, Lafayette, Livingston, Orleans, Ouachita, Rapides, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Terrebonne. A corporation that is not in any of these parishes may file the articles of amendment by mail (Louisiana Secretary of State, Commercial Division, P.O. Box 94125, Baton Rouge, LA 70804-9125), in person (Louisiana Secretary of State, Commercial Division, 8585 Archives Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70809) or electronically through geauxbiz.
