Anti-harassment Policy
(with Acknowledgment) (NV)

Summary

This template is an anti-harassment policy used by Nevada-based employers. This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. Nevada employers are required to comply with several laws governing discrimination, harassment, and retaliation including Nevada's: (1) Equal Opportunities for Employment Act (NEOE) (Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.310 et seq.); (2) Pregnant Worker's Fairness Act (PWFA) (Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.335); (3) statute protecting victims of domestic violence and sexual assault (Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.223); and (4) wage discrimination statute (Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 608.017). Under the NEOE, an "employer" is defined as any person who has fifteen or more employees for each working day in each of twenty or more calendar weeks in the current or preceding calendar year. Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.310(2). Under the PWFA, employers are covered if they employ 15 or more employees each working day in each of 20 or more calendar weeks in the current or preceding calendar year. Nev. Rev. Stat. Ann. § 613.310(2). This policy covers key topics for anti-harassment policies including, among others, prohibited harassment, reporting policy violations, and enforcement. This template is intended for private employers and may be included in an employee handbook or distributed as a standalone policy.
