Amendment to Revocable Trust Agreement
(NY)

Summary

This template is an amendment to a revocable trust agreement that may be used in New York. It functions much the same as a codicil to a last will and testament by modifying the initial trust agreement. This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. It is important to accurately indicate which amendment to the original trust agreement it is in the title (e.g., "First Amendment," "Second Amendment," etc.). This is especially important if a client asks you to amend a trust agreement you did not draft, as there may be previous amendments drafted by another attorney (or by the client themselves) that the client failed to mention or provide to you.
