Summary

CPLR 1007 incorporates subdivision 1 of section 193-a of the Civil Practice Act with a relatively minor change (elimination of the requirement of a common question of law or fact). Rule 54 of the Rules of Civil Practice was omitted, but the practice under that rule, with a minor change (omission of the requirement of a verified complaint), is continued.
