Summary

This COPPA Disclosure Clause addressing the inapplicability of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) can be inserted into an existing privacy policy wherever it makes sense, or can be its own subtitled section. The language of this clause is meant for operators of online services or mobile applications that are not directed to children under the age of 13 and who do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The purpose of the language is to make clear that the operator does not target an audience under age 13 and does not wish to receive the personal information of children under 13.
