This checklist serves as a helpful guide for practitioners to ensure that they are filing a complete I-129 petition in support of an H-1B visa petition. U.S. employers who wish to hire certain foreign workers to perform services for them in a specialty occupation, on a temporary basis, may file an I-129 nonimmigrant petition with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to classify the foreign individual as an H-1B employee.
