Telecommuting Policy
Summary
This template is a Telecommuting Policy that may be used as a way of protecting employees and customers from exposure during the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In addition, this policy helps attract and retain employees, create a professional atmosphere supportive of employees reaching their full potential, and meet the needs of a 24–hour global marketplace. It applies to home-based employees and other employees who work remotely. This template includes practical guidance and drafting notes. To avoid abuse of these arrangements, a telecommuting policy should define which positions are eligible for telecommuting, explain how to request a telecommuting arrangement, and list any restrictions on telecommuting.
