DOJ Asks Fifth Circuit to Affirm Texas Court Ruling Invalidating Affordable Care Act


As briefing got underway in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in the appeal from a Texas judge's decision striking down the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), the U.S. Department of Justice on March 25 notified the court's clerk of the government's opinion that the ruling should be upheld and its intent to file a brief to that effect.
