Summary

This practice note takes you through the various steps that are required for acquiring or constructing a new natural gas facility and/or pipeline infrastructure project. You and counsel for the other parties involved in the project will need to cross several hurdles before the project is complete and the pipeline and/or facility is in service for the gathering, processing, shipping, or storing of natural gas. You will be required to file applications for construction permits and will also have to make a request to state and federal regulatory agencies for the right to provide service once the project is complete.
