Summary

Title II of the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (GINA), 110 Pub. L. No. 233, limits how employers can collect and use certain types of employee genetic and medical information. Congress enacted GINA in response to concerns that insurers and employers could use results of genetic testing to discriminate against applicants and employees.
