Screening and Hiring Requirements for Government Contractors

Employers who provide goods or services to, or receive funds from, federal agencies may be considered federal contractors. Unlike their non-federal government contractor counterparts, federal contractors (including subcontractors) must comply with additional non-discrimination requirements beyond applicable federal, state, and local equal employment opportunity laws, and may be subject to the minimum wage requirements established for federal contractors.
